  • Since 2021, my time at Shake Shack has been full of growth. I've developed leadership skills that I didn't even know I had, coaching teams through fast-paced shifts and learning to lead in a way that makes people feel supported, but still accountable. It's helped me grow into someone others trust and feel supported by.
  • My first opening at Naperville was challenging in the best way possible. I was thrown into a brand-new environment where I was expected to guide others and had to quickly find my rhythm as a leader. The management team saw how I handled the kitchen with patience, care, and consistency, and trusted me enough to stay longer. This was a turning point for me, that I had truly developed my skills as a leader.
  • I have also been given the chance to represent my shack at events like Lollapalooza and Belmont Fest. It was fast-paced, a little intense, but it was a great opportunity to work with different people in a different environment while remaining consistent and providing great service.
  • I also regularly lead closing shifts and walkthroughs, making sure the team is properly closing their stations, and ensuring we are working as a team during the close.
  • I've become a person team members come to when they're not sure what to do, or just need someone to walk through it with them. I don't have all the answers, but I always try to help. I've been there, and I get it. I appreciate that the team sees me as someone they can count on when they're unsure.
  • Being bilingual in English and Spanish has allowed me to help team members across language barriers. I've had the opportunity to train a Spanish-speaking team member, which has strengthened the team dynamic in the kitchen.
