  • SILC Program Member: I was invited to join the SILC (Senior Instructional Leadership Corps) Program by my US History teacher. SILC offers qualified seniors the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities associated with classroom instructions. Students in SILC engage in leadership development through multipurpose mentor relationships with teachers. Students are mentored by their sponsoring teacher and serve as mentors to other students in the classroom.

Volunteer Experience

  

  • Social Service Board (SSB): I was a member of New Trier’s Social Service Board for my sophomore, junior, and senior year of highschool. Social Service Board members oversee more than fifteen groups comprised of over 600 volunteers that serve a variety of organizations in the Chicagoland area. I was the website director for SSB during my sophomore year, the Boys and Girls Club student leader during my junior year, and the Citadel Health student leader during my senior year.
  • Member of the Albany Park Volunteer Club: I volunteered weekly at a school in Albany Park to tutor and mentor grade school children in 2019-2020.
