Superintendent

Oversee the installation of curtain wall on the project with a subcontractor performing the installation. This required accountability for all aspects from material scheduling, trucking logistics, QA/QC, local labor agreements, safety plans, and coordination with the general contractor to ensure everything was followed per the contract and the subcontractor would not be able to back charge Benson Industries for any form of performance issues.

Challenges:

  • The building was designed to build out of sequence on an existing structure. Levels 5 through 19 were re-clad floors. then levels 30 to 43 were over clad floors with the tenants still in the building. Levels 1 to 22 on the back side were new construction on an addition. Then the final phase were levels 20 to 29 that were re-clad again to connect the lower and upper completed tower.
