  • Between May 2021-July 2023 I ran heavy equipment in the pit and learned many other jobs while doing so.
  • In July 2023 I switched to a 12 hour dayshift position and became a millwright after passing the millwright test and welding test.
  • As a millwright I inspect machines, fix machines (a wide variety of machines), and keep an eye and ear out for anything potentially wrong in the plant.
  • I follow all safety guidelines including LOTO procedures, and all PPE is worn during appropriate times.
  • I've always had a strong interest and understanding of mechanical things and how they work.
  • As a 24 year old, I may not be the most knowledgeable yet. But I do think of myself as a sponge and pick things up rather quick. I love to learn, have a strong work ethic, and will always try my best no matter the circumstances.

  • I was responsible for keeping roads nice whether that's sweeping streets or adding gravel to gravel roads.
  • I directed traffic when there was roadwork being done (got to hold the sign).
  • Replaced old worn out street signs.
  • And was the shop person who did some maintenance on trucks, washed the trucks, cleaned the shop and more.
  • Ran an enclosed cab John Deere front wheel loader while there.
  • It was a nice job to have while in high school until I went to college for a year.

  • I was an IT intern for the school I went to. Only goy payed $9 an hour before tax to do it. I just did it for the resume.
  • I learned some skills about how to troubleshoot computer issues.
  • Helped to organize a lot of data and learned to run spreadsheets pretty well during that time.

Farm Hand

  • I was a farm hand, I got handed the jobs nobody else wanted to do and worked hard for that $12 an hour.
  • Ran tractors and baled hay, plenty of landscaping was done too.
  • Was a nice job to have during summer break in middle/high school and gave me a lot of necessary skills and a good work ethic.

  • Built a 13' catamaran speedboat from scratch that I designed I designed it at the end of high school and 25 years later (about 800 hrs of work) it was completed And I still run around in it today (It does 50 mph) And I built it by myself with the occasional help lifting the heavy things
  • Rebuilding a 1970 challenger from essentially the ground up There was lots of welding and knowing where all the little parts go And I'm also building the engine for that myself

  • Heavy equipment operator (Caterpillar D5, D8, D9, 980 front loader; Komatsu 360, 490 excavators; John Deere 444, 844; Komatsu haul trucks, 30 and 40 ton trucks; JLG and JCB skytracks and manlifts (from 40'-150' manlifts); forklift operator) Countless hours in the dozers, excavators, and haul trucks And went through a Caterpillar Dozer training course when I first started
  • Utility person So I kept wedron looking nice and clean (well tried to with all the sand lol)
  • I have a very strong mechanical mind where I understand how things work
  • Did lots of bearings at my current occupation
  • Went through Hauck dryers training course to understand more about how those systems work
  • I have a lot of useful skills that can be further honed depending on the environment I'm in
  • I'm also a very understanding person with good listening skills who cares about people
  • Oh and I built a camper to pull behind my quad when I was about 13 years old and I slept in it a lot
