Worked in surgical preparation area. Did admissions for surgical patients, head to toe assessment and also discharge for both inpatient and outpatient. My job included, and are not limited to reviewing patient's history and physical thoroughly, checking pertinent data needed like lab results, x-rays, MRI,surgical clearance, right procedure and all documentations for the right patient. Completed the pre op checklist. Collaborated with all staff involved like doctors, nurses, family members, pharmacists, phlebotomist, etc. Made sure everything is correct and updated. Administered medications, started IVs accurately and safely, reducing medication errors and adverse reactions. Assessed patient conditions promptly upon admission to determine appropriate interventions and prioritize care needs. Gave blood or any blood products as ordered. Assisted with RRT and Codes. Took and gave report, help co-workers. Assisted anesthesiologists with all kinds of nerve blocks. Made sure patients and family members understand their procedure before signing their consent prior to surgery. Did proper documentation , appropriate nursing care, proper reporting for transition of care because communication is very important for smooth process and better time management. Followed all personal and health data procedures to effectively comply with HIPAA laws and prevent information breaches. Developed strong relationships with patients' families, providing emotional support while addressing concerns or questions about care plans.

Took care of the mother and the baby from labor and delivery, up to discharge. During the patients' stay, promoted bonding with mother and baby and helped with breastfeeding. Educated patients, family members and caregivers on patient care instructions. Also gave meds, assessed signs and symptoms like hemorrhage, hypertension and initiate immediate treatments and management. Maintained high standards set by the hospital at all times. Worked as charge nurse many times. Floated to NICU as well. Also took care of gyne patients, medical and surgical patients, pediatric as well. Attended all required inservices and continuing education.

Did admissions, discharge, referral and recertification of assigned patients. Traveled to see them. Reviewed all pertinent patients' data. Worked in skilled and medicare floor with 42 patients and 3 CNAs. Did all the nursing jobs and wound care. Took care of all kinds of patients from ventilator to ambulatory. Managed critical situations calmly and efficiently, providing guidance to the nursing team during emergencies. Managed to do night shift staffing for both nurses and CNAs. Did the yearly evaluation of all staff. Coordinated patients' needs, solved conflicts, and oversaw the entire workplace, nurses' documentations and everyone's safety.
