- Analysis of groundwater, leachate, and soil. Mostly worked on landfills and IDOT sampling. Work was conducted to prep samples to read the organic carbon contents of the material.
- Other responsibilities were to ensure that samples were being processed based on need and clients. Managing other prep techs and making sure that all samples are being properly prepped for BNA/ PNA/ Pest/ PCB testing.
- Leachate samples are special prepped for oil and grease analysis.

- Conduct and perform site visits, site assessments, and inspections to ensure landfills complied with EPA regulations. This included NPDES inspections and storm water inspections to ensure leachate containment was not breached.
- Field work consisted of sampling ground water, leachate, and FID readings on landfills. Road work consisted of sample logging and PID readings.
- All daily work was then compiled into reports and written to then be submitted.
