Melissa Bishoff

My name is Melissa, but I go my Missy often. I am a mother to 5 children, 3 of which attend Immanuel Lutheran Belvidere. I live in Garden Prairie on an 80 acre farm with goats, donkeys, chickens, ducks, cats and dogs. I have been working with my husband part time across from Immanuel for the past 11 years. Now that my youngest child is reaching pre school age I am finally ready to began working full time and enrolled myself back in college to finally complete my degree and start making changes for myself so I can be more financially independent and do something for myself and finally follow some long last dreams I have had that I never got a chance to achieve.

Prior to the last 11 years I was a stay at home mom while going to college all while living in Europe, then Texas, then Tennessee and ended up back in Illinois right where I started. I went through some really tough times in my life and didn't get to work as I had planned or get the opportunities I was hoping for. Im ready to take a new step and start making more things come together in my life by working really hard to achieve my goals.

I'm hoping I can be given a chance or considered to be a part of Immanuel School and start to rebuild my faith in God. I am so happy we found Immanuel for my children and I am hoping I can help or find an opportunity I could be a part of. Thank you!
