- Led the transition to bring fixed assets into Microsoft GP from Sage Fixed Assets (FAS) in 2014
- Perform month-end close and year-end close including journal entries, bank reconciliation, fixed asset classification and depreciation
- Process sales & use tax returns on a monthly basis for New York, Georgia, Illinois, and Montreal based clubs
- Work load includes four of eight athletic clubs as well as the corporate entity - all accounting needs for the club, answering associate questions, meeting with GM and executive team on a monthly basis to analyze P&L
- Ensure W9's are collected as necessary along with preparing and filing annual 1099's for vendors
- Assist the external audit team on an annual basis by providing detailed calculations, along with additional supporting documentation
- Train new staff accountants, and document processes to aid in training for all staff
- Travel to each club location annually to develop the budget for the following fiscal year. Meet with the GM and department managers to assess the needs for the following year. Recommend solutions and guidance as needed
- Review accounts payable to pay vendors in a timely manner
- Assist with ad hoc projects on an as needed basis
