Projects

IDOT Contract 62J26: The project was located on US 14 over Unnamed creeks located in the Villages of Wadsworth, Gurnee, Lake Bluff and City of Lake Forest. The scope of the project was culvert rehabilitations, culvert repairs at different locations on US 14.

· ComEd TE: During land acquisition process ComEd had concerns of work being performed close to their facility and recommended the easement to be at least 15’ away. The challenge was that this required coordination between Bureau of Lan Acquisition, ComEd and Design.

· Fence Removal: Coordination needed for fence replacement with Mill Creek Venture located in the Village of Wadsworth, for the protection of the farmland and the animals in the farm.

IDOT Contract 62N23: The scope for the project was abandoning of the culvert located on the US 12/IL59 over Fish Creek as well as the overlay of the land bridges.

· Polymer overlay to Latex Overlay: the original scope of work for the project was to scarify 3/8 inch and place a thin polymer overlay; however rising costs of this type of overlay have led the District to consider a Latex Concrete overlay during the final plan preparation. Extensive coordination and review needed from BBS for the plan preparation and scarification method needed over the land bridges.

IDOT Contract 62P10: The scope for the project was bridge deck replacement, superstructure, and substructure repairs located on 175thStreet over I-57 in the City of Country Club Hills, Cook County.

· Proposed Redesign of Sidewalk/ shared use path on the Bridge: Extensive coordination needed with Cook County Department of Highways as well as with the City of Country Club Hills due to the redesign of sidewalk / shared use path different then what was proposed during phase I. Also this needed coordination with BBS which leads to longer TS&L approval and plan review time.

· Addendum needed for 404 permit, PSI documents, SWPPP permit and for structural plans.

IDOT Contract 62R32: the scope for the project was bridge beam end repair for the bridge located on Touhy Ave over Des Plaines River in the City of Park Ridge, Cook County.

· UHPC: This was the first project in IDOT implementing UHPC to do the beam end repair work.  This required coordination with the Repairs Unit at BBS (Victor Veliz) to ensure that the plans are satisfactory.
