• Infotainment system for driver assistance is developed using Renesas RCar-E2. This system includes several modules to handle music sources (USB, Radio, and Pandora etc.), Settings, OnStar, Mirror link as well as Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connectivity. Also some of the modules handle signals coming over CAN from different parts of vehicle and notify driver about state of the vehicle.

• Responsibilities 1. Designed and developed reusable widgets like Multiheader and simple dynamic List, static list, notification drawers, popup and quick notice 2. Defined configuration management strategy for team to work concurrently with Altia design tool for HMI development. 5. • Responsibilities 1. Contributed in HMI tool market survey, interacted with different vendors, and got trial versions of some tools like UI Composer by NVIDIA, Altia, EBGuide, QT etc. 2. Developed basic applications on these tools and tried to find out best tool sufficing new requirements of HMI for Next Generation infotainment System by TMETC. 3. Updated the Infotainment HMI with new components and images as per the requirements. 4. Added new libraries to Embedded Wizard tool to include screen slide transition animation. 5. Developed code for animation which changed complete look of the infotainment system. 6. Contributed in the architecture and requirement definition of gesture recognition for the touch screen Management Module. 7. • Hardware Platform development for Infotainment system. Porting the Infotainment system prototype in Developed Hardware platform for the X2 vehicle. Updating and optimizing Human Machine Interface (HMI) of the system.

• Responsibilities 1. Updated the Infotainment HMI with new components and images as per the requirements. 2. Optimized the Infotainment HMI by changing strategy.
• Earlier Strategy: Images of all applications were imported dynamically while screen transition which used to consume time for loading image.
• Changed strategy: Images of all the application’s context are imported in background while system is booting up. This reduced time of screen transition and removed sluggishness of HMI. 3. Changed data sharing format of HMI with system application classes and made it dynamic.
• Earlier Strategy: Coordinates of all buttons of all the screens were hardcoded and maintained by respective system application classes. Small change in position of button on any screen of the application or removing any button as per the requirement was creating lots of changes in code.
• Changed Strategy: In Chora (Embedded wizard language) scripting, used structures to hold coordinates of images .This made code more flexible and dynamic. 4. Contributed in de-bugging and fixing issues during the testing phase of the Project.
• Achievements Optimized, made HMI of infotainment system faster and dynamic without affecting other functionality of the system.

• Updating the Infotainment PRD system for Electric vehicle to include the following features 10. Driving History (Energy Log) 11. • Responsibilities 1. Validated Specifications for HMI related to AMFM/CD/DVD/IPOD, Navigation, Bluetooth telephony, System settings, Driver-Info modules of infotainment system. 2. Contributed in the requirement capture for HMI of all the modules and deciding data sharing format between HMI generated code and the classes of all applications. 3. Developed code for HMI using Embedded Wizard tool for all the modules, tested it using simulator of the tool, generated HMI code and integrated it with all applications, ported together on the system. 4. Prepared Unit Test Cases related to HMI for all the modules. 5. Contributed in de-bugging and fixing issues during the testing phase of the Project. 6. Explored following parts of the HMI development tool Embedded Wizard:
• Replaced in-built UI components with user defined components (Ex. Picture Button Field).
• Used ready to use widgets like radio button from Mosaic Library.
• Done scripting in chora for dynamically importing user defined components in the canvas area and setting its different attributes.
