Summary

It is my pleasure to be able to share with you my experience working with cancer patients as a nurse in the acute care and home health settings. I started working as an RN in 1983 on an acute care neuro unit, eventually moving into a management position on this unit.

In 1994, I transferred to a home health position, which offered me a unique opportunity to provide holistic nursing to our patients in the comfort of their homes.

During my years as a nurse, I have found it exciting to see all the advances in care that have been made. I particularly enjoy the one-on-one time I have with my patients to provide care, education, and support.

I am a cancer survivor myself, and I feel that this has allowed me a unique perspective.
