  • working at LA TAN has shown me a lot of responsibilitys of customer service and keeping our salons clean. A few of my responsibilitys were making sure every customer's answers were answered, helping them get their desired color and also making sure they are tanning safely and not harming their skin. For opening shifts I would count inventory, clean the bathrooms, take out the trash, sweep and vacuum the rugs, go into every room making sure there is no towels garbage or lotion in the room for the next customer. Night shift was also the same thing except I would mop, sweep, and vacuum, break down our spray booths down at the end of the night so there is no built up bronzer, i would also count inventory at the end of the night and take all the trash out of the rooms and main trash cans. I would also do laundry so customers would have clean fresh towels. there are more cleaning duties like cleaning the break room, cleaning the laundry room, cleaning the trim on the walls since it is a tanning salon the bronzers from the spray booths go everywhere so it builds all up on the walls. I would also deal with memberships so when a person would sign up I would make sure i have all the right information phone number email address what membership they want to purchase and what comes with their membership. I make commission as well like selling lotion bottles, memberships, packages or anything else we have to offer.

  • My responsibilitys for working at Sephora was to help customers find what they need like eyeshadows, lipsticks, skincare, haircare, matching foundation colors, finding perfume or cologne, anything they could possibly need, while also helping out with the customers we would restock our shelves with more products or take down certain products that we no longer carry or the brand has changed their look while also putting up brand new products, I also had tasks of cleaning the shelves making sure that there is no makeup residue or dust on there, making sure all the products were in the right place. Being at the register also taught me how to become better at customer service with dealing with returns or a product that was broken or exchanging products, and with that I would make sure they would have the receipt or the same card that the purchased the product with, and depending on what they wanted like a return i would make sure the product was in there and not an old product makeing sure the product was broken or not broken and putting it into the system and either giving them a store card or putting it back on their card. while also working at the register i would ask them if they had rewards with sephora or khols and if they didn't i would sign them up if they wanted to with an email phone number and first and last name and also telling them what comes with signing up for rewards.
