Research Assistant - Horse Chewing Study
Supervisors: Dr. Léa Engelman & Dr. Erin Perry (February 2025)
• Assisted in research on chewing behavior and saliva production of pelleted vs. extruded horse feed.
• Recorded observations on horse chewing behavior, water intake, distractions, and adaptation to feed type.
• Timed feeding duration and prepared horse meals according to experimental conditions.
• Assisted in haltering and restraining horses for sample collection.
