Work History

Night Crew Grocery

Jewel Osco
03.2022 - Current
  • I am the first person to begin the task of restructure for the store merchandise before the stocking crew arrives. My work is heavily reliant on my expert eye for detail and organization. I reset the merchandise for a clean, full appearance. I have to keep an extensive mental record for where everything belongs so our staff can give accurate readings for orders. That same knowledge gives me the ability to assist anyone looking for specific items to assure the best experience I can provide. I work solo for the majority of my time so keeping track of my progress while managing my time to get as much accomplished as possible is essential.

Pet Care Specialist

Floofins and Co
02.2019 - 11.2021
  • I was responsible for a diverse clientele on a daily basis, each pet had a very detailed profile that I needed to know before entering the client’s home. That included everything from their feeding schedule to any medical issues in case I needed to administer medication. My schedule was self made around the appointment windows my clients prefer as well as travel time to each home so I had to be very hands on with time management. With my entire job being digital, communication with my team and management was very important. My training was extensive to recognize signs of illness or distress primarily with cats and dogs, including being cpr certified, so I could handle high stress situations. My day to day was very physical so I could make sure multiple clients got their proper exercise.

Sales Associate

JoAnn Fabric
03.2020 - 08.2021
  • I was trained at both the cash register and fabric counter so I could help anywhere that was needed. My knowledge of fabric and current trends kept me more consistently at the counter so I could assist with customer's projects and questions. Math basics and creative problem solving were a daily puzzle and each customer gave me new projects to help with.

Assistant General Manager

Gamestop
03.2016 - 01.2019
  • I used my personal love of video games to assist my guests with purchases and inquiries. My knowledge made it easy to build rapport so we could gain returning customers and in my time with the company both locations I worked for gained Prestige status. As a member of management it was my responsibility to keep up with email communications from corporate and our district leaders. These included promotional materials, store resets, price changes, and anything else we needed to stay on top of. During my time I would verify payroll, monitor scheduling for my team, and make sure the till was correct. One of the many aspects of the job was knowing upcoming titles or consoles so we could have successful sales not only after release but at our many late night launch events. An important part of the job was also taking in trades of preowned merchandise so I had to be very meticulous about the quality of merchandise coming in and out of my store.

Office Assistant ANC

Promotions
06.2011 - 02.2018
  • I worked periodically for the company sorting paperwork and doing various data entry. As well as office duties, I assisted the Embroidery Manager filling orders and providing quality checks before shipments left the building.

Senior Assistant Manager

Plato's Closet
03.2016 - 04.2017
  • I was responsible for the till staying accurate and balanced, keeping communication with my team about any sales and purchases made on each register. Our inventory was on the spot consignment for trending clothing styles so I not only had to keep a professional relationship with our customers making purchases but also ones bringing in items to sell. That meant I had to be meticulous with what we purchased for inventory and train my team to have the same standards. I had to know current styles for teens and early 20’s so our inventory could reflect the customer’s demand. I assisted with the store’s social media so we could use our online presence to drive sales.

Sales Ambassador

Lush Fresh Cosmetics
01.2016 - 01.2017
  • I had extensive training and hands on experience with their products and brand standards. That meant learning each product’s ingredients and their effects on skin and hair.
