The Crew Chief, PFS is responsible for assisting with plant operations by leading and directing the production crew in the day-to-day activities. The Crew Chief, PFS also ensures a safe/food safe environment, leads sanitation of equipment, assists with inventory management, completes production paperwork/transactions, and performs required quality inspections.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Set up and operate various production equipment and use computer controls to adjust programs, settings, parameters, etc.
· Motivate and create a positive work environment through training, line corrections, and support
· Responsible for completion of process control and administrative paperwork required per shift
· Maintain and support procedures and tracking for sanitation, GMP, and HACCP standards
· Maintain building/equipment via proper operations, cleaning, and preventive maintenance; take accurate measurements using applicable tools and equipment
· Assist manager with conflict and problem resolution and/or properly escalate issues to management
· Understand, train, and follow all safety, quality, sanitation, and production/operating procedures to make a high-quality product in a safe and food safe manner
· Trouble shoot problems effectively to prevent downtime
· Meet production schedules under direction of Production Manager
· All other duties as assigned
• Greet our guests with a smile, quickly and accurately take their order and payment. Inside and outside
(Drive-Up) positions available.
• Take phone orders or catering orders to help our guests plan their special events.
• Give out completed orders to guest by calling out numbers with a rhyme. (#29, it's time to dine!)
• Prepare food to our high-quality standards and maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.
• Cook food to order, such as, Italian Beef, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Fries, and much more. Follows provided
recipes and upholds the Portillo's standard. Ensures proper sanitation practices are in place.
• Follow the provided recipes to create eye-catching, fresh, made-to-order salads and maintain a clean
workspace.
