I'm a Junior at Elgin High School, but take all my classes at ECC as part of the full-time dual credit program. This program has enhanced my ability to manage my own time as well as working independently. My experience volunteering at Journey of Hope UMC has also fostered growth of other skills like teamwork and communication. Lastly, my experience as a caddy has strengthened my professionalism and work ethic.
I am very interested in this internship for numerous reasons. I think getting experience in the engineering industry would help me tremendously with post-secondary decisions. Most importantly, this opportunity would potentially solidify if engineering is the field that I want to go into for college and my career. I definitely think I would be a good candidate for this internship because I am genuinely interested in engineering, I have strong math skills, and I have taken a few engineering/computer courses in the past. Overall, I would be excited to have the opportunity to take on this internship and apply my problem-solving ability!
