Hope all is well, I am just writing this to express that I am very interested in the Sales Development Internship that you emailed to me through Illinois State University. With hands-on experience in retail sales, customer service, and relationship building with those around me, I am confident in my ability to contribute to your team by learning these sales needs and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout. In my current role as a Retail Sales Associate at Best Buy, I have developed many strong skills in communicating the features on certain products in the store (mostly electronics) as well as assisting customers with purchasing decisions. Even though I wouldn't be selling the same type of items these same skills translate directly into the responsibilities of a Sales Development Intern. Assisting the sales team, learning about sales strategies to upsell a customer, maintaining product knowledge, and guiding the customer throughout the sale process are all skills that would translate into Sales Development. My past roles in production and delivery support have strengthened my time management, ability to stay organized, and the ability to adapt in fast-paced settings.
