  • As an LMC Assistant I check out books to students, as well as checking books back in. I catalog books. I repair books if they need to be repaired. I shelve books, along with tidying the shelves and making sure the books are where they should be. I assist the students with finding books, troubleshooting their Chromebook devices, or helping with various lessons. I supervise the students under the direction of the Library Media Director. I perform inventory at the end of the year. I assist with weeding and ordering new books. I help set up and run any book fairs our school hosts, along with Literacy Night. I pull books for holidays, specific lessons, author highlights, or any books the teachers ask for. I put up bulletin boards and create displays.
  • I cover many administrative duties for my supervisor. These duties include setting up schedules for different students and classes. I also put together office supply orders, along with other various orders. I answer phone calls, and emails.
  • I cover recess duty each day. I supervise 4th grade students. I also work with kids that have special needs. I assist them at recess, and when they come in for lessons.

  • As a Pre-School Paraprofessional I worked as a one on one, and the following year I was a Classroom aid.
  • As a one-on-one and then a classroom aid, I provided individualized support and instruction under the guidance of a teacher. It was my job to ensure the educational goals and IEP requirements were met. I provided one-on- one instruction, reinforced concepts and skills taught by the teacher. I also collected data on the students as needed. I would often lead in circle time and come up with various activities. I would also supervise the students at recess time. It was also my job to assist with personal needs such as toileting and dressing.
