  • I have been a shipping clerk since July of 2022 until recently. Checked in truck drivers, verifying load i.d. number and destination. Then I would go to the computer and insert the number they gave me to make sure all information matches and if it did, I would give them a load sheet to fill out and ask them to time in with their load i.d. number. Then go over to the shipping office and get the driver a dock door. Then I would get the paperwork in my office and make sure the numbers match what is on the computer. Then I add up what the floor workers mark to make sure it matches what the customer has ordered on paperwork. Then I enter in the computer and check to make sure the right product and the count on paperwork match. Then after I ship confirm and put the pallet count on the computer I go and print out the bill of lading and the packing slips, and then I make sure everything matches up; then I put together the paperwork and give packing slip to fork truck drivers, so product can be loaded on the truck. Then the drivers would come back in and sign their bill of lading, and then I had them time out. I also answered any questions they may have.
