  • As a DSP, you'd wear many hats working with the individuals; care taker, groomer, medication giver, cook, supervisor, and home cleaner. I worked with disabled individuals living in a home environment. Each individual had their own disability, so they each needed individual care. Great customer service skills with the outside professionals such as the Nursing staff, Pharmacist staff, the different Therapists. Communication was a valued asset to getting individuals to cooperate and stay on task I'd provide Transport when required to different facilities necessary for the individuals care.
