Jacob Goldman

· Worked with a host teacher in a classroom with underprivileged youths, overseeing an ESL curriculum for 5th and 6th grade students.

· Coordinated projects and games for the students, including a Pen Pal project with students in America to form part of a cultural exchange.

· Lived in a foreign country for over 10 months, navigating a trying political atmosphere and complex social differences while maintaining rigorous standards in teaching practices.

· Was named the best teacher in my city by our organizer in the first month of the program, owing to my enthusiasm both in and outside the classroom and my ability to connect with the children and encourage a love of education in their lessons.

· Operated in the role of a docent, guiding visitors and customers and assisting in the management of galleries.

· Collaborated with education department staff on developing age-appropriate activities and fostering an atmosphere of fun and learning for children and visiting families in the Discovery Lab.

· Promoted cross-departmental collaboration through regular communication with fellow docents, curators, and other staff members.

· Supervised up to seventeen children from the ages of 4 to 15 in a full summer day camp experience, scheduling equal amounts of physical activity, STEM Learning, and arts and crafts, with an emphasis on Jewish values.

· Worked alongside Ropes Course Outdoor Adventure Specialist for two summers, ensuring children stayed safe while climbing and during archery. Earned a raise in salary due to effective work.
