Traveling around the Chicagoland area with a team of Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, and Respiratory Therapists to fire departments, hospitals, paramedic schools, and nursing schools to educate on prehospital pediatric emergencies through lectures and scenarios.

Fulltime Firefighter/Paramedic for The City of Chicago Heights.

Responsible for responding to over 9,000 emergency calls a year on fire apparatus and frontline ALS Ambulances.

• Fire responsibilities include;

-Fire prevention, suppression, and public education.

-Responding to motor vehicle collisions sometimes requiring extrication and scene management involving fluids, chemicals, and traffic control.

-Responding to hazardous material incidents sometimes requiring control of liquid, powder, or gas.

• Ambulance responsibilities include;

-Responding on a frontline ALS ambulance for a variety of different calls including but not limited to

-Medical, respiratory, and cardiac emergencies

-Traumas including burns, blunt force, penetrating, and other either accidental or non-accidental.

Worked along side Doctors, Nurses, and other hospital staff in providing care for pediatric patients in a level 1 trauma center.

Duties involved;

-Basic and advanced patient assessment

-General patient care

-IV/IO access in patients, sometimes requiring ultrasound machine or specialized lights

-Assisting staff in trauma activations, intubations, sepsis alerts, neuro emergencies and other invasive emergencies

-Responding to Code Blue alerts hospital wide to provide care listed above

-Responding to non-patient emergencies hospital wide to provide basic care and transport to the Emergency Department

Firefighter Candidate for the Village of Flossmoor.

Responsibilities included assisting fulltime/part time, and other certified members with daily duties and emergencies while attending EMT-B, EMT-P, and Basic Operations Firefighter Academy.

Contract Paramedic for the Town of Cicero. Fulltime assignment on a frontline ALS ambulance.

• Responsibilities include;

-Responding on a frontline ALS ambulance for a variety of different calls including but not limited to

-Medical, respiratory, and cardiac emergencies

-Traumas including burns, blunt force, penetrating, and other either accidental or non-accidental.

-Emergency standby for fire crews during structure fires, hazardous material incidents, motor vehicle collisions requiring extrication, and other special rescues or team activations.
