Managing storage (Netapp):

• Hardware management - mainly disk management.
• Configuration and monitoring.
• Managing datastores, access, capacities,
• Making sure snapshots/snapmirror is being done correctly, working with vendor for more complicated projects and issues.
• 10 clusters, storing almost one petabyte worth of data.

Managing backups (NetBackup/Veeam):

• monitoring and fixing failing jobs.
• constantly running restore tests.
• adding/removing jobs.
• 1000 VMs in total.

Miscellaneous tasks:

• Managing complicated tickets as highest level support engineer
• Working with vendors, other teams (DevOps, Finance, Networking, Security and more) and working individually to run all sorts of IT projects and to solve critical issues/provide support to other teams projects.
• Writing documentation and reports.

• Solving user tickets as highest support level engineer.
• Application administration (Jira, Solarwinds, Office365).
• Working in VMware virtual environment.
• Managing backups (NetBackup).
• Individually leading various IT projects.
• Collaborating with other teams (Networking, Security, Helpdesk).

Hand's on helpdesk in 300 employee organization, including remote offices. Everything between user creation to Printer configuration. Solving basic software issues. Explaining users which button to press. In retrospective I can tell that I was very independent and knew how to solve every helpdesk related problem and estimate when it could be server/networking side and transfer the problem to a relevant team.
