- The role of a central transportation worker includes, the safe, transportation, and passage of all patients inpatient or outpatient, destinations, being testing surgery, minor procedures, admissions, and discharge. We are also task with minor transfers from wheelchair to hospital bed, hospital bed to wheelchair or carts (stretchers). A all-around physical demanding job.
- As been task with leading the overnight crew, which is usually relies on me and only one other transporter pass the hours of 12 AM to 6:30 AM to transport the entire hospital as needed for 3 of my 5 years working at silver cross usually meaning the work load becomes overwhelming at times for only 2 people, I have assured that the job will always be taken care of safely and precise.
