Doing work on the front end of the store, I'm either running a register or helping people at the customer service desk, I empower customers to be able to understand the self checkout process, a lot of the time people are in a hurry when they are choosing those lanes, in a concise manner I help them with their orders at the self checkout lanes as an attendant. Often times when someone calls the store I would be the first voice they hear, paging, transferring, conferring with the departments around the store is my job to do, as well as helping people find what they are looking for.
I prepped ingredients for menu items, making sure the prep fridge was stocked and that all of the containers were dated and sealed correctly, using the standard FIFO method to make sure containers were used in there proper order to ensure food safety. As well as prep, I ran the chicken station, using proper hygiene to bread the chicken and utilize our henny penny pressure fryer at the correct temperatures, before placing it in the hotbox. I made sure my station was clean at the end of my shift, taking the correct steps to sanitize in a food safe way.
Answered call lights and supported patient comfort and safety by adjusting bed rails and equipment.
As a kitchen aid I did multiple smaller jobs around the kitchen and dining room area. My primary job was putting together/baking the deserts under the direction of the head kitchen aid from the book of recipes she cultivated in her years working there, during the dining times, I would offer coffee and bread rolls to the residents and who lived there as well as there family visiting them. I was also running the dish station once we had completed our meal service for the day, I was often the last person out of the kitchen working hard clean the spaces where food was prepared, and making sure the kitchen floors would be clean and safe for the next day.
stocked shelves, not to different from what I did at Lowe's my first job, with the additional experience of learning how to use a pallet jack, this was a while ago so I imagine this skill is a little rusty, I was often putting away the frozen products and in this I learned how to safely handle dry ice as to not injure myself
I was a janitor on nightshift, generally I was in charge of tidying the clothing section, the floors there got a good sweep, and mop. Other days I cleaned the bathrooms, making sure they were in tip top shape. It was around the time COVID lockdowns were happening, and one of my jobs occasionally was to check my fellow employees temperatures as they were coming in.
I stocked shelves, and used a zebra store phone to help direct customers to the products they were looking for, I made sure the space I was watching over was kept clean
