  • Small veteran owned and operated company providing after school fitness classes that help kids K-8th grade develop teamwork/leadership skills
  • Job tasks include safety management (spotting the children through obstacle courses), interacting with and teaching children individually in classes, leading group classes of 15-30 kids, and frequently working with children with disabilities. I also was responsible for interacting with parents and providing information and sales pitches. Cleaning tasks included cleaning bathrooms, large amounts of vacuuming and mopping, moving heavy obstacles in the training area, and replenishing amenities around the gym.
  • Through this job I have learned many skills such as being able to communicate efficiently with many different types of people, how to manage time in stressful situations, and how to show strong leadership. I also gained many labor skills such as knot tying, mopping and other cleaning methods, painting, power tool use, and construction skills.
