I currently work at Caterpillar Inc. in Mapleton IL. My job title is Machine lubricator but the position is much more broad. My every day jobs as Machine Lubricator is I add slurry to lapping tables that help the machines grind metal face seals. I am in charge of adding lubricants, oils and coolants to lathe machines. I also clean lathe machines, removing oil, metal chips and adding new water and coolant. Before I was a machine lubricator I was a grinding specialist at Caterpillar. My main responsibility as a grinding specialist was I grind metal face seals that go into trucks, bulldozers and military tanks. These metal seals go into lapping machines that put a band on the individual seal that prevents leaks that go through the seal. I also have been trained how to polish the seals, pack the seals and inspect the seals. I was at the time the lead lapper on my shift and was in charge of training any new hires that get hired at in our department.
I trained with an infantry battalion on Camp Pendleton California. I was a Machine Gunner operator. I studied Machine Gunner tactics, employment and the weapon systems. I taught other Marines of a different job skill how to operate Machine Guns such as the M240B Medium Machine Gun, Browning 50 Cal. and MK19 Grenade Machine Gun. I am also a licensed Humvee and MRAP and MATV driver and also certified to fly a drone. I went to Lance Corporal Leadership and Ethics Seminar in the year 2018 and I served 1 Deployment overseas and 2 deployments to the south west boarder of Mexico in support of Customs and Border Patrol. I am currently a member of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion 24th Marine Regiment, 4 Marine Division at Terre Haute Indiana.
I insulated walls with fiberglass batts and sucked out blow insulation fiberglass or cellulose from attics and also prepped walls and floors for the Foam Insulators. I left Home Comfort upon starting a new job at Caterpillar Inc.
I responded to Fire and Medical calls in the Peoria and Stark County area in central Illinois. I was on call 24/7 and had training events every Wednesday and every other Sunday evening.
