• Equipment Maintenance: Check and maintain battery energy storage containers, cooling systems, HVAC units, and electrical components to keep equipment running properly.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Find and fix mechanical, electrical, and software issues, including BMS faults, cable connections, cooling leaks, and container component failures.
• Installation Support: Help install and connect high-voltage cables, safety disconnects (MSDs), coolant piping, HVAC units, and container hardware while working with engineers and vendors.
• Calibration & Testing: Perform system checks, air-tightness testing, insulation testing, and functional testing to confirm systems meet commissioning and customer requirements.
• Documentation: Collect test data, complete commissioning checklists, and write end-of-shift reports showing work completed, system status, and any issues found.
• Safety Compliance: Follow SOPs, OSHA safety rules, and company procedures when working with high-voltage equipment, coolant systems, and heavy machinery.
• Customer & Team Support: Support commissioning and customer acceptance testing by working with engineering teams, operators, and vendors to resolve issues and provide updates.
• Continuous Improvement: Help identify recurring system issues and support process improvements that improve reliability, workflow, and startup readiness.
• Equipment Operation & Training: Operate equipment to move ESS containers safely and train other team members on ESS operations, SOP's and Safety Protocols.
