Affiliations

Volunteer as an event announcer for The Central Illinois Oz Festival for Hollis Park District at Butler Haynes Park, Mapleton, IL. This is a yearly event where the Wizard of Oz Children's Garden is showcased with a collaboration with the Spirit of OZ organization. I announce throughout the day to keep visitors, staff and volunteers informed with the various scheduled events. I promote the silent auction where proceeds benefit the children's garden, information tent location and announcements, promotion of vendors and serve as the coordinator of events to keep everything running on time and ensure a smooth event to enhance the experience for everyone. Since I have been announcing this event, the silent auction has raised over $1,100 each year. My announcer service also allows for the Park Director to focus with the boots on the ground to handle issues as they arise in real time.
