  • Team Management: Coaching my 20th creative problem-solving team (K-11th grade); 6 state champions; top team achieved 7th place at the Global Finals STEAM competition.
  • Recruitment: In only four years, grew district DI program from zero awareness and only one team to the largest DI program in IL with 52 teams, 250+ student participants, and 100+ volunteer parent coaches/Team Managers (TMs) through targeted communication, TM training and support, and outstanding implementation.
  • Marketing: Developed and presented strategic content for a suite of marketing presentations to superintendents, principles, parents, and students, making Wilmette the fastest growing DI program in the world. Due to success, DI Inc utilized my communication strategy for their global marketing documents and invited me to present a Zoom training about these tools.
  • Training: Developed and facilitated TM trainings delivered at the start of each phase of the program, maximizing effectiveness and improving retention, word-of-mouth, and growth.
  • Event Execution: Coordinated and produced five regional tournaments for more than 700 people with minimal issues. Assisted in the development and use of an Excel Macro tool to create a tournament schedule for 45 teams that resolved 250+ scheduling conflicts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collect feedback from all stakeholders to assess, streamline, and improve each project phase.

  • Teacher: Taught 6th-8th grade math courses to struggling students using manipulatives and creative methods to achieve spectacular gains on standardized tests.
  • Mentor: Coached a talented high school graduate whose anxiety prevented her from taking the next step. Upon the completion our sessions, she performed in front of the school and now attends Northwestern University.

  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Founded educational start-up that brought hands-on math and ELA instruction to low-income students (K-8th grade), including ELLs and students with IEPs and 504s.
  • Organic Growth: Expanded pilot with 8 kids to eventually serving 40,000 students in 300+ schools in five states while maintaining high employee retention rates (>90% minority staff). In our 3rd year, Orion's Mind was the largest SES provider in Chicago.
  • Curriculum Development: Created and managed the development of thousands of pages of hands-on curriculum that utilized Multiple Intelligences to bring math and reading concepts to life while breaking concepts down into strategic steps.
  • Training: Developed and personally facilitated trainings for hundreds of teachers. Trained trainers to implement my training for thousands of additional teachers.
  • Brand Representation: Presented on behalf of Orion's Mind at Education Industry Association (EIA), National Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), Young Executives Club (YEC), and with congressmen and staffers, investors, school districts, superintendents, principals, clients, and employees.
  • Culture: Cultivated a positive culture that supports creativity, risk taking, and initiative, attracting top performers and achieving high retention rates in an industry with infamously high turnover.
