Functions as a professional investigator conducting statewide and out of state sensitive administrative and regulatory health services investigations for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Investigation; investigates suspect physicians, physician's assistants, chiropractors, and medical corporations who are in violation of the law or who are subject to complaints or allegations of misconduct or irregularities; develops investigation plan to be used; assures sufficiency of evidence;prepares investigation case reports; prepares administrative/regulatory cases for prosecution; cooperates with local, state, and federal law enforcement officials on accused healthcare practitioners, and witnesses to corroborate information regarding alleged violations; proves or disproves the validity of complaints; obtains additional information relevant to an investigation. Prepares and maintains comprehensive written reports including case reports, correspondence, statements of victims, witness, and accused covering results of hears, represents the department and serves as an expert witness in committee hearing cases. Works cooperatively with other investigators, local, state, and federal law enforcement officials; coordinates the accumulation of evidence files on assigned case, and assure confidentiality of the same. Makes periodic follow-up inspections with probationary professionals for compliance; conducts random inspections of licensed professionals to assure compliance of the health services act. Assembles and organizes data obtained through investigations; analyzes information and makes determination on compliance with department regulations recommends appropriate disciplinary action;updates case files was new information and reports are received. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. A member of National Associated Drug Diversion Investigators.

Assist in the supervision of the daily activities of youth; Interacts with youth; facilitates group sessions with counseling to develop rapport with youth; Provides input in to the development of individualized service/case plans. Transports youth and supervises movement to and from destination. Attends in-service training to attain new and updated skills and proficiency to carry out
specialized service delivery programs. I now have added responsibility as the trainer for the 10:00PM to 6:00AM shift. The training includes Use of Force, Rules of Conduct and Ethics. Prison Rape Elimination Act, and Report Writing. I supervise eight staff for this training, and spend twenty five percent of my work week in supervision. I have recently been an academy class counselor/instructor for the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice. The academy class started on 2-20-2018 and it ended on 3-30-2018. The class number was IC-18-03. During the duration of the class this instructor taught restraints, report writing, pat downs, and searches. During this time this instructor received a letter of appreciation from the director of Juvenile Justice Miss Heidi Mueller. I have recently been certified as a Oleoresin Capsicum Instructor through the Illinois Department of Corrections and Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice on May 2, 2018. I have also been added to the facility Crisis Team to combat mental crisis and suicide prevention. As a crisis team member I provide guidance and counseling to quell the current outburst in behavior. Also as a mandated reporter, I am bound by law to investigate as youth instances, and report to DCFS for further investigation.

I was a sworn Deputy Sheriff with full police powers. Patrol to include traffic enforcement with accident investigations as well as Investigations of retail theft, fraud, grand larceny, pettit larceny, and substance abuse. The investigations also included assault and battery to include domestic battery,. I am certified in VCIN and NCIC. A big part of being a deputy sheriff is Community Policing, and getting the local community to better involved with neighborhood watch and getting them assist in keeping their community safe. Additionally it involves mentoring youth through school programs for example DARE. Also as a member of the sheriffs office this deputy would give counseling and guidance to youth as well as families in domestic violence situations. Also as a mandate reporter, I am bound by law to investigate as youth instances, and report to DCFS for further investigation. As a Taser Instructor. I supervised and taught 20 person Taser Classes, as well as assisting in being a Field Training officer to train new deputies. I spent twenty five to fifty percent of my work week supervising other deputies training.
