I was working in as an intern apprentice at Anchora Medical (a medical device start-up company): My work
involves performing laboratory experiments on the products we design and develop, particularly the Anchora
Approximation and Hernia Mesh Fixation devices, and investigating problems arising from testing the components
of the devices and the fully assembled devices themselves. I design and conduct the testing myself and supervise
junior colleagues - analyzing problems, reporting, and writing reports and project plans. Competent in using
SolidWorks, Engineering Change Order (ECO), and Device History Records (DHR). Also, trained in working under
sterile conditions, and in working on pigs in the animal laboratory.
