As a Facility Security Officer I am responsible for greeting guest professionally and courteously to cultivate welcoming atmosphere while making safety top priority. Secured entrances and exits by maintaining physical presence and carefully monitoring CCTV. Enforced security policies and removed violators and unauthorized individuals from premises to maintain safe environment. Inspected and adjusted security systems, equipment and machinery to maximize coverage of parking lots and building interior and exterior. Ensured electronic equipment and all recording devices were not allowed into secure areas. As a security officer I was responsible for completing hourly checks of buildings and grounds, looking for suspicious activities and anything that was out of place. Identified and challenged potentially unauthorized individuals for screening and detention in order to prevent access to restricted areas. Executed security rules and procedures and calmly and promptly escorted non-compliant individuals out of building. I was also on rotating schedules of being in the Secure Control Center (SCC). While in the SCC I monitored CCTV feeds and alarms to get maximum coverage of all our secured areas and the Early Warning Radar System. Was responsible for maintaining both Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Generators, Motor Generator, Switch Gear, Circuit Breaker Panels, Transformers, Medium Voltage Connex and Low Voltage Connex. Carried out inspections on over 50 different sized generators and would make sure the load and capacity of each was sufficient for the needs of the customer. Set up preventive maintenance schedules to maintain performance, as well as implementing corrective services to manage problems. Background includes working on generators from 3 Kilowatts up tp 1.3 Megawatts. Knowledgeable about repairing both AC and DC electrical circuits. Experienced in working with 50 hertz, 60 hertz, and 400 hertz systems, with voltages of 110/208, 277/480, 120/240, 240/480. Extremely confident with Gas/Diesel engines and Mechanical/ hydraulic/ Air/ Electrical systems. Evaluates and diagnoses faults, plans services and provides high quality work within tight deadlines. As an Air Force Recruiter, I was responsible for finding and recruiting qualified applicants that would improve the quality and readiness of the US Air Force. I had to visit local schools, colleges and places that were frequented by our target ages of 17 to 35. I had to ensure that my applicants were qualified by asking them a series of question, getting their height and weight, observing their tattoos, running their credit check, looking for any law violations, and giving them the practice ASVAB. I also had to schedule all their appointments for their physical and testings and ensure that they stayed qualified and motivated while waiting to go to Basic Training. Secret Security Clearance.

Installs, removes, and operates electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, aircraft arresting systems (AAS), and associated equipment. Checks equipment for serviceability. Positions equipment such as gasoline, and diesel engines; generators; switch-gear; air compressors; hydraulic systems and other power generating auxiliary equipment. Installs, positions, rewinds, and pretensions (AAS). Certifies (AAS) as required. Checks installed equipment to ensure compliance with publications, policies, and directives.

While with the 603rd Air Control Squadron (ACS) I volunteered to be part of a security team called Security Response Force (SRF). Since the 603rd is considered a combat control squadron we had to be self-sufficient, which meant we had to provide our own security, Entry Control Points (ECPs), and Vehicle Control Points (VCPs). We were also trained on Urban Assault Tactics. Being a team member of the SRF I received training on the following weapons. M4, M9, M16, M203, Remington M870 12 gauge, and the M60. During this time I was also deployed to Riyadh Saudi Arabia as a Security Forces (SF) Augmentee. As a SF augmentee I went on perimeter patrols, sat in Listening Post, Observation Post (LPOP), worked at ECPs and VCPs, and filled out SALUTE reports. Secret Security Clearance.
