Milestones

  • $1 Million MUV Savings | Ferrara, MUV project created a process and conducted training and SOP. Prior to my project every facility would have a negative variance of 1.7 million dollars. After reviewing the bill of materials we developed zero based BOMs and SKU specific scrap and process for material variability. The company earned 180k yield.
  • $1 Million Labor Overhead Savings | Ferrara, First I optimized bagger output. Then conducted a time study and cycle time analysis to identify the exact number of employees needed to complete a production run by bag size.
  • 42% Historical EFF - 71% Average Line Efficiency Improvement | Snak King, Developed routing reviews and centerlines for the Packaging equipment. Took inventory of all parts and completed a program rationalization. Removed all obsolete and unnecessary parts from the production floor. Simultaneously eliminated and locking out adjustment points. Utilizing centerline data as a leading metric for scheduled predictive maintenance.
  • Improvements on Startup | Snak King, Developed shutdown program and staffed my team of specialists to verify/inspect machinery after shutdown. Inclusive of documenting deviations to have a 1on1 training for these observations. After implementation we average 90%-95% scheduled attainment.
  • AM on Packaging equipment | Snak King, created and implemented a list of tasks to complete (daily, C/O, Weekly, PM monthly). Inclusive of procedure, cleaning method, failure mode, and detection method. Setting priority inspections from a criticality matrix (Severity of damage, Possibility of deviation, OEE impact, MTBF, Cost, Lead Time, and FG Quality) After the first year we dropped from a historical 73min average unscheduled downtime to 10min average.
  • Quality Assurance | Snak King, Developed and implemented scheduled quality verification for packaging operators. Customer complaints. Dropping CRM from 3.4 to 0.8. (Historically packaging holds would be > 150 after 100% implementation that number dropped to 24 the following year.
