I selected a high school internship program based on career interests that awarded an opportunity to learn from the awesome team at Riverside as much about working in physical therapy as about life too. I spent much of my high school career insisting on this path, it came as a huge surprise to me when I didn't like it. Instead it became a kind of clarity and opportunity to explore other things I was good at and what could make a difference
Unique experience working directly with patients from start to finish. Assisted with hip replacement healing and rehabilitation on a 75 year old woman. Was amazing to witness progress, change, obstacles, improvements.
Loved interacting with people in helping capacity, this translated to restaurants and customer service- providing experiences
