Ever since I was a little boy I have always had an interest in old tractors and machinery. My grandfather restored Allis Chalmers tractors and it is because of him I am so interested in antique tractors. I believe I am not only gaining valuable skills in mechanics and paint and body but also a respect towards the equipment that helped to build our country and is a valuable part of history. I have developed a large passion for this machines and take pride in restoring them and giving them new life. I currently own 3 each of which has a unique story that represents a time gone by.
Wilco Student of the year
In May of 2020 I received the Wilco student of the year award as a junior in high school at our local career center. I had enrolled into the center to pursue classes in the building trades class as I wanted to sharpen my skills and become better at carpentry. I received this award for my hard work and willingness to learn in class.
Wilco Scholarship Award
In May of 2021 I received the Wilco Student scholarship again from the local career center. This year I had decided to try welding as I had always been inserted in welding and wanted to learn more. I was awarded this due to my hard work and also because I demonstrated perseverance in class.
I have been involved in taekwondo since I was a junior in high school and it has become an active part of my life. I originally got started because I liked watching people do all different kinds of crazy moves and also wished I knew how I do them. Soon after I started I realized that it is so much more then fancy kicks and people beating each other up. martial arts has taught me to be disciplined and also to no matter what treat people with the highest level of respect. I have also gained valuable skills in speaking to others which is a skill that I have had trouble with since I was a young boy. I have also had the opportunity to work with young kids which to me is an opportunity I am very lucky to have been privileged too have. To train these young kids and watch them grow and become more proficient in martial arts is truly amazing and rewarding to witness. Taekwondo has taught me a lot in the 4 years I have been training, it has helped make me who I am today and I would not be the same without it.
