I was the case agent for an investigation which began with a video I observed on social media of street gang members shooting a rifle and pistol into the air on a holiday weekend. After numerous search warrants, I successfully obtained arrest warrants for all four of the involved offenders. Following the arrest of two of the offenders, I successfully obtained a search warrant for their residence. The initial search of the residence yielded negative results however, a K-9 alerted to a vehicle parked in the driveway; the vehicle was seized pending a search warrant. Upon execution of the search warrant for the vehicle, bulk narcotics and United States currency were recovered in the trunk. During the search of the residence, a hard drive for the home surveillance system was seized pending a search warrant. Upon executing the search warrant for the hard drive, I reviewed several hours of video footage which revealed the offenders engaged in numerous narcotics transactions.
