  • Some of my job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, downloading and editing basic programs, adjusting machine offsets as needed, assembling tools, using computer programs to order gauges, recording my time, editing setup sheets, and IPI drawings.
  • I worked as part of a Kaizen team to to resolve training issues throughout the shop floor, not just in my department.
  • Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, Swedish gauges, drop gauges, indicators, Hi-Cal, Starrett, bench centers, plug gauges, and V-blocks. I perform first time runs comfortably along with first piece checkout across the department.
  • Gives assistance to members with issues such as difficult setups, and part inspection.
  • I am the team captain for Department 511. This includes performing gage sweeps/audits, Tier 1-3 metrics boards, 5S, find-it-fix-it, and ensuring every member has what they need to continue their work uninterrupted. I fill in for my supervisor when it is needed, leading to a smooth working experience.
  • I claim and update any Andons to be elevated so that they are resolved as soon as possible. I keep them fully updated and close them when
  • I am currently an operations technician. I operate department 511's lathes at a high proficiency. I am Level 3 on both the 1751 and 1741. I am level 2 on the 1262.
  • I initiated and participated in several projects within Department 511, such as IPI document modernization, ergonomic tooling drawers, and shop floor layouts. Many of the machines on the chip-cutting side now have up-to-date and accurate drawings. Tooling drawers being easy to access and organize is vital. And finally, I worked with the CI manager for help with shop floor markings.
  • I was chosen for a 6-month CI support project position to assist with 518's new machines and processes. I would make IPI's, setup sheets, flip charts, and tool maps. All of these would correspond with the part's Wintool mapping.
  • Implemented quality control procedures, reducing defects in manufactured products.
