- This job consisted of monitoring suicidal patients to ensure that they don't hurt themselves or others. In January of this year, I was promoted to become a lead of my department. This role consisted of managing employees by giving them their role for the day, which is the patient they will watch. Additionally, when a patient no longer needed a safety companion, due to them discharging or because a doctor discontinued the monitoring, I would find a place for that employee to go in order to finish their shift. I would also work with upper level management to coordinate what patients have a higher level of need for a safety companion and I would distribute our employees accordingly. With that role also came the task of managing the group of 8-11 ESitters we had that monitored patients of less risk through a camera in their room.This work consisted of making sure we didn't take too many patients on based on how many employees we had working and also managing who will watch what patient. I would also deal with employees time cards. I would make sure they are clocked in the right way, getting paid by the right floor, and I would adjust their time cards accordingly. So, I have a lot of experience with managing employees time cards. Lastly, I would deal with taking disciplinary action if need be during any given day.
