Work History

Delivery Supervisor

Reyes Beverage Group
06.2018 - Current
  • As a delivery supervisor, I have a team of 12 drivers that report directly to me. I ensure that they understand the expectations, and that they are working safely each day. Even though I have my own team, I still offer support and help to all of our 90 driver/helpers.
  • I work with the other delivery supervisors as a team to make sure the day-to-day operation runs as smooth as possible.
  • I offer support and assistance in the field each day, before heading into the office located in Chicago.
  • Each day I am required to conduct any DriveCam coaching sessions with drivers, address any log issues/edits via XRS , and engage with all employees.
  • I work with all new hires during the on boarding the onboarding process. I get them trained on how to use the electric pallet jack safely and efficiently.
  • Follow ups are conducted with all employees to ensure they are retaining the training or are getting re-trained if necessary.
  • Each day, I look at all orders going out for the next day and ensure they are placed on the proper routes. I work with the sales team to place any off scheduled stops are on the proper routes.
  • I continue to work directly with our routing department to make sure each delivery route is as efficient as possible.
  • I spent some time doing the nightly routing call with our company router. During this process, I would make sure all 60 routes were balanced with stop count and overall weight for the next delivery day. If any truck was overweight, stops or volume were spread to lighter routes. I then made sure all open routes were covered, and any routes that were heavy had a helper. I did this by utilizing any spare drivers or pulling driver helpers from lighter routes.
  • Each day, I check drivers in as they come back to the warehouse and make sure any returned product is accounted for. I then send out delivery reports to our entire company using Excel.
  • I focus on upholding the core values of our company, and communicate all expectations to employees.
