Bianca Burz

A Bennington College house-chair is half an RA and half a sorority president, I am called "house-mom" to my residents. I maintain and foster the community in the house which can entail anything from mediating roommate conflicts, to planning a party, to dealing with mental-health crisis. I am trained in mental health care, restorative justice, conflict mediation, and Narcan administration.

• Complied with health and safety codes to protect staff and customers.
• Baked gluten-free, vegan and alternative diet treats based on customers' needs.
• Diversified bakery operations by leading baking demonstrations and classes.

For a little over a month I was an English teacher to the monks at Serlo Monastery, a Buddhist temple in Nepal. I taught three different age groups, from children, teenagers, to young adults. I had to plan lesson plans and activities everyday as well as immerse myself in the monastic lifestyle. In return I was given the honor of practicing with the monks.

• Supported two toddler boys in play activities, meals and snacks, hygiene and socialization.
• Assisted with light housekeeping duties as well as running errands.
• Organized and cleaned home after activities by picking up toys and straightening up play room.
• Built positive and nurturing environments to support child social and emotional growth.

• Provided excellent customer service by greeting customers and meeting quality expectations.
• Took orders, prepared meals and collected payments.
• Kept food preparation area, equipment and utensils clean and sanitary.
• Worked front counter, online orders, and other areas.
