I have a good work ethic and a lot of experience in the workplace, especially in high stress environments and heavy traffic positions. I have good soft skills and plenty of costumer assistance experience, as well as first aid, AED, and CPR certification
As a lifeguard I picked up invaluable skills in teamwork and fast thinking action on serious matters, learning and adapting to changing circumstances on the job as needed. These transferable skills have carried on into my daily life and to other positions of importance such as group projects in school as well as in my everyday social interactions. The position required quick on the job decision making and helped me build up my multitasking abilities in regards to focus and function, including lifesaving skills such as first aid, CPR, and trauma care which in which I have intensive training and certifications.
In this position I learned from a master framer how to build custom frames for fine art pieces. This includes precision measuring, cutting frames to size, assembling frames with glue and nail guns, cutting glass for framed images of varying sizes, and completing commissions for paying customers.
"Up in the Clouds"
I was selected through a competitive process for a one man art show which I created and curated at the McKinley Foundation on UIUC campus Sep-Nov. 2024.
"Elevating Voices: Social Justice Art Series"
I was selected and commissioned as an artist in the "Elevating Voices" series at the UIUC School of Social Work. My piece "Unseen" is an exploration of my lived experiences as a person with epilepsy, autism, and ADHD. The piece is on permanent display.
