As a Concussion Medicine Physician Assistant (PA-C), responsibilities include:

• Evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients with mild traumatic brain injuries.
• Performing detailed neurological assessments and focused physical exams.
• Reviewing and interpreting MRI, CT, and VNG results.
• Formulating differential diagnoses and developing evidence-based treatment plans with the supervising neurologist.
• Managing post-traumatic headaches, dizziness, visual disturbances, cognitive changes, sleep issues, and cervical-related symptoms.
• Coordinating referrals to vestibular therapy, physical therapy, neuropsychology, optometry, and pain management.
• Educating patients on concussion symptoms, recovery expectations, and self-management strategies.

• Completing accurate and timely EMR documentation while maintaining high clinical and regulatory compliance.

• Independently evaluated and managed 30–32 patients daily in a high-volume outpatient gynecology clinic, providing preventative care, Pap smears, IUD insertions and removals, STD screenings, contraceptive counseling, and management of PCOS, abnormal uterine bleeding, perimenopause and menopause symptoms, and other common gynecologic conditions. Performed pelvic exams, breast exams, and routine follow-up visits while delivering clear, compassionate patient education and supporting culturally competent care for a diverse patient population. Collaborated closely with supervising physicians to ensure safe, evidence-based continuity of care. Additionally trained in EMO laser therapy for noninvasive gynecologic and aesthetic treatments.
• Reason for leaving: Relocating to Chicago to establish long-term clinical practice.

• Responsibilities encompassed handling instruments, retraction, suction, sponging, patient positioning, and draping. Assisted in patient positioning and draping. Experienced with a range of ophthalmology surgical and laser procedures, including cataract surgery, trabeculectomy, vitrectomy, corneal transplants, LASIK, SMILE, strabismus surgery, ptosis surgery, blepharoplasty, dacryocystorhinostomy, pterygium surgery, ectropion/entropion repair, enucleation, orbital surgery, YAG laser capsulotomy, YAG laser iridotomy, and laser photocoagulation. • Responsibilities included assisting with a variety of general surgery, orthopedic spine, and plastic surgery procedures, such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair, bowel resections, spinal fusions, laminectomy, discectomy, kyphoplasty, fracture fixation, ACL reconstruction, tendon repair, carpal tunnel release, breast reconstruction, abdominoplasty, rhytidectomy, and brachioplasty. Proficient in suturing and closing abdominal incisions, breast lifts, and arm lifts. Served as the first assistant in orthopedic and podiatry surgeries, and assisted with circulating duties as needed. Performed patient positioning, local injections, and draping under sterile techniques. (1st year: 40 hours/week; 2nd year: 22 hours/week).

• Conduct patient interviews to gather health history, vital signs, and current medical issues. Document physical exams and the history of present illness before the provider's entry. Escort patients to exam rooms, address general inquiries and prepare them for the physician. Oversee new hire training, enhance skill development, and facilitate discussions on task prioritization.
