Projects As a Mechanical Designer:

Fish Barrier Boat Shed, Romeoville, IL.

Provided Mechanical engineering support. Supported the PDT team in the development of Plans, Specifications and detail design repot (DDR) documents including features such as: HVAC, and Plumbing system.

Fish Barrier 2B Cooling System Upgrade Romeoville, IL.

Provided Mechanical engineering support for the lead engineer. My duties included reviewing designs calculations for the overall system, writing specs based of system requirements and preparing the bid schedule for the subject contract. As the lead’s assistant I had to lead progress meetings, implement project modifications, and get the project out for solicitation when the lead was away.

Fish Barrier 2A Raceway Enclosure. Romeoville, IL.

Provided Mechanical engineering support. Supported the PDT team in the development of Plans, Specifications and DDR documents including features such as: HVAC, and Plumbing system.

Mississinewa and Salamonie Pipe Replacement, IN

Provided Mechanical engineering support. Supported the PDT team in the development of Plans, Specifications and DDR documents including features such as: pipe alignment rerouting and pumping system calculations.

8 Month Rotation:

Ambridge Neighborhood Sewer Rehabilitation Gary Sanitary District

Provided the COR with close out assistance. Routed a interim quantities SF-30 for signature. Prepared the closeout package.

Calumet Harbor Storage Building

Provided QA support for the close-out of this project. Meet with the Contractor on site for a pre-final inspection and prepare the corresponding letter. Meet the Contractor on site to monitor the HVAC vacuum test. Ensured the punch list items from the pre-final inspection letter were completed and prepared the close-out package.

East Chicago Water Main Replacement

Provided QA support for the duration of my rotation. Made site visits and wrote QA reports. Reported site mishaps and discoveries to the COR. Unfortunately, this project was ultimately terminated because the city didn’t have an updated set of plans for the Contractor to work with.

Michigan City Harbor Dredging

I reviewed construction coded project specific submittals. Routed designer coded submittals to the appropriate reviewer and logged their comments in RMS. Logged the awarded contractors' construction progress by making site visits and writing QA reports. Lead pre- and post-construction meetings with the contractor. Responded to the contractor's Request for Information (RFI) and acted as a line of communication between the designer and the contractor to answer any RFIs. Prepared closeout package. Had the Honor to work on this project from start to finish.

Calumet Harbor Storage Building

Provided support to the COR as an interim project engineer. Lead pre- and post-construction meetings with the Contractor.
