Senior training operator of fill, form, and seal packaging equipment, case packers and palletizers. Performing changeovers of said equipment while striving for minimal down time. Scheduling end of runs while paying close attention to rate and cut off times focusing on ATS. Hourly quality checks and sample taking. Utilizing SAP and Red Prairie inventory control programs. Frequent sanitation of equipment and work stations. Cross training in processing department duties included receiving raw ingredients, gathering test samples, loading raw material into equipment to be consumed while keeping detailed information on all materials moved. Assisting in Care and Treats maintenance on off days to help with regular PM activities and special projects which included various tasks such as drive motor coupling inspection, sock replacement, vacuum hose replacements, motor drive chain inspection and replacements, extruder oil pump removal and seal replacement, extruder screw replacement, cutter bearing replacements, conveyor belt replacements, lathe operation, drilling and tapping, and cutting/grinding hot work. All duties performed with emphasis on safety and proper LOTO protocol. Conducted offsite factory acceptance testing for newly acquired machinery.
Routine and preventative machine maintenance including oiling of machinery, gearbox
rebuilds, electric motor replacements, vacuum pump replacements, clutch rebuilding, linkage
rod replacements and fabrication, bearing inspection and replacements, machine head
rebuilding, and various sensor replacements and adjustments. Inspection and repair of gas,
oxygen, ethylene glycol, and liquid nitrogen lines, valves, regulators, and burners. Position
also required frequent quality tests to ensure gas and oxygen levels were maintained and adjusted if needed to control proper heating and cooling temperatures of product during the
manufacturing process. Occasional use of shop equipment including sand blaster, drill press,
hydraulic bearing press, cut off wheels, bench grinders, and gasket cutters.
Operation of sheet fed printing press. Frequent quality checks to maintain proper color levels.
Minor routine maintenance including oiling machinery, cleaning vacuum systems, occasional
bearing and roller replacements. Frequent forklift operation required during employment.
Changing profiles between jobs to run different forms of product which would include pulling
off rollers and installing different ones and gauging them for proper clearance. Swapping out and aligning cutoff dies. Making sure machine is running quality product to spec before handing
it over to the operators. Forklift operation was also required for this position.
