• Manage phone and email correspondence and handle incoming non-emergency phone calls
• Manage in-person lobby traffic
• Maintain the police bulletin
• Monitor police radio frequency
• LEADS Certified
• Monitor cameras
• Complete forms for officer sick calls, and distribute accordingly
• Complete other clerical tasks, as needed

• Volunteer fire explorer lieutenant
• Basic firefighter training for explorers:

Fire behavior, hose handling, ladder operations, and basic fire suppression techniques.

• Community Outreach & fire prevention education:

Participating in public events to educate residents about fire safety, including home fire escape plans, and smoke detector maintenance.

• Station maintenance:

Assisting with cleaning and upkeep of fire stations, equipment, and vehicles.

• Physical fitness training:

Engaging in exercises to build strength and endurance necessary for firefighting duties.

• Leadership development:

Participating in leadership roles within the explorer post, including organizing activities and training sessions, working closely with the explorer chief.

• Career exploration:

Attending career fairs, shadowing firefighters, and learning about different aspects of the fire service.
