Andrew Hinderer

Aspiring physician with a passion for healthcare, seeking clinical experience to broaden my medical insight and play a role in impacting lives.

• While at Heartland Community College, I maintained a 3.9 GPA including all 3 semesters on the Deans list. My coursework focused primarily on general education and an introduction to certain sciences
• At Illinois State University, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA majoring in Kinesiology with a Pre-Med focus. In my time at the university I earned both a Legacy scholarship and an Academic Scholarship.

• Exercise is the foundation to my day along with maintaining my health. I enjoy outdoor activities including hiking, golfing, and working out. Currently I am in the process of studying for the MCAT and will take the exam at the end of the month. I also volunteer at a local food pantry (St. Vincent De Paul), mentor a group of boys (The Jule Foundation), and volunteer in the Emergency Department at Carle Bromenn. I have engaged in shadowing a Doctor in the past a hope to do more in the future. I have recently co-founded a not-for-profit organization along with a few friends geared toward providing medical supplies to those in need.
