Andelina Savard

• Hold the urology consult pager daily, and the first point of contact for service consults, many times being the only urology clinical personnel on site
• See patients in the inpatient setting including ER, ICU,PACU

· Round in the mornings

· Face to face time, chart review and collaboration with others

· Place post op orders for IP and OP procedures

· Create H&Ps for inpatient admissions

· Write discharge summaries

· Schedule IP and OP procedures with the OR

· Coordinate and schedule OP imaging for post-op patients

· Schedule appointments for our urology patients

· General communication and collaboration with other services

· Resource and urology point person for hospital RN staff

· Critical for challenging foley insertions

· Remove drains in our post-surgical patients

· Wound care and dressing changes

· Point of contact for discharged patients who have needs or concerns after hospitalization

· Patient education

• Provide direct and comprehensive care to patients with varing diagnoses
• Deliver a broad rand of general nursing care services including EKG reading, inserting IV and catheters,
• Precept new staff nurses
• interact and communicate with patient families
• Collaborate with physicians and work in adjunct with interdisciplinary team
